Emergency companies are on the scene of a single-vehicle crash in Timaru’s CBD.
A police spokesperson stated preliminary indications counsel there could also be accidents following the crash, on Church St, about 3.35pm on Friday.
The street is blocked to visitors, the place it intersects with Stafford and Sophia streets, the spokesperson stated.
Fireplace and Emergency New Zealand Timaru senior station officer Garry Parker stated members of the general public carried out CPR on an individual on the scene till emergency companies arrived.
A St John spokesperson stated that they had not been required to move anybody from the incident to hospital, and referred additional enquiries to police.
